Once you find out which state you are researching, there are a number of helpful
sites to help you find general information. Good luck!
Finding Longitude
and Latitude:
Latitude
and Longitude of U.S. Cities - find the longitude and latitude of select
U.S. cities
Color Landform Atlas of the United States - maps of each state, including latitude and longitude grids - good to use once you've narrowed down your search a bit.
United States Query Form - enter in a feature/landform and recieve information about that feature, including longitude and latitude

Gazetteer - enter in a place and recieve information about geographic coordinates
